The EU IFI Network met in 18 February 2025 in Brussels to discuss present and future activities of the Network. The Economic Governance Review featured high in the agenda. Equally, the work of the Network's working groups was presented. There was also an interesting discussion on the work that some IFIs are doing on policy costing. 

The German Federal Ministry of Finance and the EU Network of Independent Fiscal Institutions are organising a conference on the challenges for a stability-oriented fiscal policy.

The Netherlands' Council of State, in the capacity of one of the two national IFIs, is organising a conference on the financial and fiscal challenges of the climate transition at the EU and national levels.

The High Council of public finance and the EU Network of Independent Fiscal Institutions are organising a conference on the afternoon of 10 May in the framework of the French Presidency of the European Union

This European Fiscal Monitor—the sixth in a twice-yearly series—covers 24 European economies. It looks at national developments through the eyes of the Independent Fiscal Institutions (IFIs). The latest update reflects submissions received from members over winter 2019/20.

A short seminar about fiscal responsibility and public debt sustainability, to be held next 5th September at 16:00hs CET. There will basically be two short presentations followed by questions from the public.

IFAC's inaugural conference focusing on long-term public finance issues relevant for Ireland will be on the theme of Fiscal Risks.

The Finnish IFI has carried out a research project on the suitability of the EC output gap methodology for the Finnish economy. The workshop will centre around the EC methodology/alternative output gap methodologies and structural balance estimation.
